Training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) - Start 2026

 

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you manufacture, set up, or convert equipment and production facilities. You monitor and optimize manufacturing processes and perform repair and maintenance tasks. To do this, you manufacture metal or plastic components and assemble them. You also assemble prefabricated parts to create machine tools and other special-purpose machines.

Training schedule:

The training period lasts 3.5 years. The first year takes place at the IHK training center in Neuwied. From the second year onwards, trainees rotate through the relevant departments at WEIG-Karton. In between, they attend theoretical and practical specialist modules at the IHK in Neuwied. Classes are held at the vocational school in Andernach.
