Apprenticeship as an electronics technician (m/f/d) in automation technology – starting in 2026
As an electronics technician (m/f/d) for automation technology, you will set up highly complex, computer-controlled systems. You will ensure that the individual components form an automatically operating overall system. To do this, you will program and test the systems, commission them, and maintain them.
Training schedule:
The training program lasts 3.5 years. The first year takes place at the IHK training center in Neuwied. From the second year onwards, trainees rotate through the relevant departments at WEIG-Karton, interspersed with theoretical and practical specialist modules at the Rhein-Erft-Akademie in Hürth-Knapsack near Cologne. Block teaching lasting three to five weeks takes place there three times a year.
